As you already know, I really enjoy observing nature, especially sunrises and sunsets. In my opinion, one of the best place to see it is on a shore. Last summer, I enjoyed a beautiful sunset in Maryland, on Cape May. On a Christmas Weekend I discovered a really nice place near Vancouver to enjoy a sunset. It is a beautiful small beach at Whytecliff Park, here is a time lapse video! Best seen fullscreen in HD.
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) has recently been named the best airport in the world! It has handled over 20 million passengers in 2015 from all around the world, it has a very easy and convenient layout, decorated with beautiful aboriginal sculptures and even has an aquarium! What an interesting place to visit!
One of my favourite ways to spend my free time is driving scenic routes. Just drive, no destination, nowhere to hurry, no timetable. Often I find incredible places that get in my memory forever.
When I get to a new city, I always try to get to the highest point and take a look at the city from the top. There are several high observation points in Vancouver area, but I was waiting for good weather to enjoy it.
When I visited a community of Deep Cove last weekend, I decided to drive up the mt Seymour, and I had an amazing bonus to my trip!
Today my traditional weekend getaway brought me to the Deep Cove , both community and bay. Located only 13 km from downtown Vancovuer, it attracts visitors with numerous recreational activities – hiking, kayaking, sailing, cycling, etc.
I am very impressed with beauty of nature in British Columbia. I could never think that spectacular views of mountains could be so abundant within big city; that so many lakes, waterfront parks and trails could be just a 20 minute drive from busy downtown with skyscrapers. I try to explore and discover more of it whe I have a slightest chance.
I keep exploring Vancouver area. Autumn is very rainy in Vancouver, a sunny day on a weekend is a treasure that has to be used wisely!
