During my last trip to Ottawa we had a couple of hours to spare and I decided to take a look at Canadian Museum of Nature. I love museums in Canada, what can I say…
I think that museum are quite boring to cover when writing about traveling. But there are some of them that really deserve attention. One such museum is Canadian Museum of Immigration in Halifax. Canada is a country built by immigrants, this museum is about people, and consequently, about Canada. I was very curious to see what it looks like and what can I learn there.
Nova Scotia has so many interesting destinations! It is hard to choose when you have limited time and want to see as much as possible. One of the “must go” destinations in Nova Scotia for me was the south shore. First, I really wanted to see and enjoy the ocean, second, it has some of Canada’s most famous attractions, and last, but not least, I wanted to enjoy driving beautiful roads.
Every May Ottawa becomes a top destination for tourists from all over North America. They all come to see over a million tulips displayed throughout the city. But do you know why? Where do all these tulips come from and how it started?
Canada has a lot of natural wonders. One of the most amazing among them is the Bay of Fundy. Is it known for having the highest tides in the world.
I left my stuff at hotel and went to explore the city. First, I went to the waterfront that is just 2 blocks from my hotel. What a great feeling it is just to walk near the ocean, breath salty fresh air. I miss it a lot in Montreal (I grew up on shores of Black Sea).
I finally had a long-awaited vacation. And of course I spent it on a couch drinking beer on the road! I have always wanted to see a different Canada, something that is not huge and crazy Quebec or Ontario. And in addition, I really miss the ocean. So there was a perfect destination for me – Canada’s Ocean Playground!
While I am getting ready for my next big adventure, I was entertaining myself by discovering new places around Montreal and re-visiting the ones I love so much.
Finally the long winter is over, warm Canadian sun has almost melted all the snow, temperatures hitting mid 10s Celsius. Time to continue discovering Canada!
What are the first pictures come to your mind when you say “Canada”? For me it is hockey, Niagara Falls, and CN Tower! I dedicated my latest road trip to discovering last two!
